The voters are from Anambra. The election was held with the spirit and contents of the 1999 constitution which many believe is faulty and that it needs fine tuning or total overhaul. Until that is done, it remains the valid law that powers our Democracy.
If the federal government had used might to compromise people’s wish, we would say it has breached the constitution.
Now that the election has held and a legislature is in place, the only recognized representatives of the state now are the governor, the legislature both at home and at federal.
Whoever thereafter challenges the Sovereignty of the process calls for actions from the relevant authorities. The federal government has the right to subdue such threats in the defence of the constitution.
