SYMPTONS OF A SICK COUNTRY

A state of sickness encompasses being affected with disease; a situation of sprititual, mental, emotional and moral unsoundness; and more so being incapable of yielding good results in endeavors.

Nothing short of reality checks will do justice to discourse and shall be itemised in subsequent paragrahs.

1. Everybody is selfish and unpatriotic because they have never enjoyed tbe benefits of citizenship of their country.
2. Government offices, organs,parastatals, and agencies are populated by entreprenuers instead of service providers and curiously they are paid via taxes and other jointly owned revenues by the peoole they are suppossed to serve but whom they expoilt and extort.
3. Being qualified by examinations, grades and other foundations are not enough to get placement into a tertiary institution. An applicant must know someone somewhere who is influential to push for placement or some who knows someone and so on.
4. If you have issues with any law enforcement agent or more so military people, you have a ready made name, “bloody civilian” which takes away your fundamental rights. In the alternative, you or your family must know a serving enforcer or those “who speak their language.”
5. The church, the mosque,the marabouts the deplorable, the politicians, are more “influential” than the country, the constitution and the laws.
6. The hospitals are hostile and not humane to the poor and the vulnerable yet they are called “General Hospital”.
7. The best of their thieves, killers, kidnap kingpins, rapists are the most religious but ungodly.
8. They love mundane things, they waste scarce resources on frivolities that have no value for money.
9. They have huge disequilibrium in distribution of wealth which is fraudulently skewed for the benefits of the few who are privileged to occupy positions in public responsibilities.
10. Their judicial system is structured to be ineffective in the discharge of justice.
11. Goons and the deplorable are cleverly integrated into the elite cadre just as rewards for keeping the status quo that sustains the real elite.
12. In the dungeon of what they call their geographical demarcation, they have adopted a foreign language as their lingua franca but there is no love lost among different nationalities and they are in constant mutual suspicion of one another.
13. The most scary is their imperviousness to killings whose imvestigations become “cold cases” as soon as they happen every minute, every hour, 24/7, year in year out with no respite in sight.

When a sickness develops immunity to cure and rejects intractable management, what is the end result?
